A Trip to the Pumpkin Patch

What would October in the Northwest be without a trip to a farm in the middle of nowhere to hand select the perfect pumpkin? This year we went to Jubilee Farms (about 15 miles from our house). We gathered up a group of friends and family for a day of hot apple cider, horse drawn rides to the pumpkin patch, a hay maze, pony rides (not to be missed by Meg!)- and they even had a pumpkin catapult!

Both family and friends came out to enjoy the day, the dads carried the babies and the moms were happy that all 3 of them slept! At the end of the day we came back to our place. Beckett loved being held by everyone and ended up sacked out- fat and happy in front of the fire!

Beckett David Luke: the first 3 weeks

Well Beck's almost 3 weeks old and we thought we'd share some of the moments of his life so far. We've been trying to be diligent capturing things on video and hope we've done it justice. His days seem to be mostly characterized by eating, sleeping and diaper changes (thought we'd spare you those!) with several bouts of hiccups and a couple of days during his first week on what resembled a baby tanning bed to cure his jaundice.

Now we are all happy and healthy here and Meg, Brian and I are enjoying life with little Beckett. He is such a joy!

Growing from a family of 3 to 4!

We really wanted to start a blog so that friends and family around the world could see more of what goes on in our day to day lives. The arrival of little Beckett and growing our family from 3 to 4 has spurred us to start this blog and we'll do our best to post regularly and will include photos and videos too!

Thanks for reading all about our adventures. We look forward to sharing our lives (both the exciting and mundane!) with you.

Love,
Emily, Brian, Megan & Beckett
